Get a wife that cares about your wellbeing.

If you make a kid its a fair simulation of annoying younger sibling.

Everyone please remember to PM Sinistria reminders to go to school, give his little brother a turn on the computer and go to bed to ensure classic experience emulated.

What's the point of Green server? To farm manastones? If that's the case, just give everyone a damn manastone and call it a day. I'm here for the nostalgia. We're really close. Seems like everyone is just dying to get in so they can /list. I can't see any other reason why anyone would be against pushing the release back to improve quality...
So new players can start in a new economy where starting a tradeskill themselves is an exciting prospect. On blue why bother? So many are already grandmasters of all tradeskills.

Why bother camping a weapon when you can buy it for cheap in EC. Why bother researching when everyone sells copies of what you need. Why bother grouping when the twinked stuff you bought last week for your new character already made you borderline indestructable.

Why worry about dying when the warrior in the group has a 60 epiced cleric parked at the zone.

Green is about danger and achivement being put back. Blue is great fun but its hard to really work hard when you know there is a much easier way 1 cheap purchase away.

I know some guilds rules state "no shortcuts" etc but its easy to leave a guild and screw it all to advance much quicker. On green its hard mode with no shortcuts.

But then again what's the point? In, what, three years the server will be gobbled up into blue and you will either have to start over again on a new green server with a similar short life span and do that potentially ad infinitum or keep playing your hithero green char on blue where everyone has 5 level 60s with epic and all that.

I personally don't get the appeal of starting over on green as it will eventually just end up on blue but that is just me. Respect for those aching to kill orcs with rusty short swords and only get 25% of their spells while leveling etc [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Three years is SO LONG. These days with modern next gen games with hours of playing it a day your lucky to get three WEEKS.

I cant fathom what i will be doing in three years. And if green does merge into blue in 3 years you will be the same level and progression basically as the people on blue. I dont see the problem.

Three years guys. My daughter is 8 now, in three years she will be in big school and likely embarassed to know me.

Over three years isn't that "short" of a lifespan. In case you haven't noticed, P99 blue has pretty significant "churn", player turnover and attrition. The people you play with on blue will largely have quit and been replaced more than once by the time green recycles. Some will stay, some will leave and come back once or more, some will never come back.

What's more relevant to me is how can I care about farming NToV or trying to get a primal, or BiS loot in general...for a server that is never going past velious. Back in era the guilds in NToV and Sleepers knew an expansion was coming and they wanted to be best positioned to defeat it with their Velious gear. Here its a neverending farm status server. It can be fun but ultimately there's no where left to go.

As much as people get fixated on raid gear, BiS loot, being level 60 and killing stuff with your guild (and all those things are fun and tend to be what I end up doing too) the real game in EQ or any MMO has always been your character's little rags to riches path. This plays out better in the forced reset of green than it can in the inflated environment developed on blue.
