this ban is actually why this server has 80 pop on it.
everything is streamlined for PvE -- i wasn't even a PvPer when I played and I can confirm this is true. i hope DBG makes their PvP TLP eventually, playing on Agnarr you can see their current GM ruleset would go perfectly for a PvP server. They only ban people who constantly intentionally train with video evidence submitted. They dont give a fuck what happens in the day-to-day PvE scene, you can steal mobs all day long on there if you're that type of player. All they need to do is enable PvP with this ruleset and bam, let the fun begin. CIAO

On the one hand, it is dumb that a huge train is essentially equal to pvp immunity for a bard, but on the other hand - if you root them or you rapture them or do anything else that will allow their train to catch up to them, it is TOTALLY CERTAIN that they will take an exp death. The likelihood of you as the pvper actually getting the kill shot in against a com swarm is vanishing-to-none. It's very disingenuous to claim that all you wanted to do was pvp - all you guys posting here about how unfair this is, you're smirking out of the other side of your mouth. Not one of you cast that root or that rapture actually thinking "yeah I'm going to get a YT out of this" - every last one of you KNOWS you are exp-deathing someone, and that's why the rule is right even if it's sad that it has to be that way.
If it were my server to make rules for, I'd ban swarm kiting. Problem solved. It's not classic, it disrupts the zone for people who are there for the classic experience, and it causes this issue with pvp as well. Also, it's monstrously boring for everyone but the bard and it generates hordes of 50+ characters with underdeveloped skills. Also, LNS is stupid and I've never done it once, even if I am a pacifist who refuses to pvp. If you're getting successfully griefed, you're not imaginative enough, or you stuck your neck out way farther than you should have and are now getting what you deserve. LNS is just a crutch.

Inconsistent enforcement is the issue why the pop is 80. GM's make case-by-case calls only when they are around sporadically. Having action only when invisible gms are present to observe opens a giant window for "we only enforce when we feel like it, and only in favor of X" with zero accountability.

Server actually at 150 today which is decent compared to the 80's it had for a year. The fact that remains tho is everQ and some people stuck on the ever part.

1 year later during the brokering of the Daybreak-P99 agreement, the daybreak staff let rogean know how little they think of red. They also said to leave red where they are. And you think you're getting a TLP?? come on

The enforcement of CC a swarming bard should be enforced the same as disrupting/monopolizing a zone. You either allow someone the ability to stop someone from monopolizing a zone through PvP or you make both the intentional exp loss and monopolizing illegal.
