I run HDMI into a 4k TV and EQ looks crisp as fuck.
It is worth a try if you want some more immersion.

Is the HD zone mod still being worked on?

As much as I like the higher res texture for the zones, the HD ones are WAY better.

Sorry , I am not sure because I only run the character texture models. I just use 1 of the zone graphic updates. The Freeport one because it looks great and no issues at all.

Someone has been working on some improvements for these graphic updates.

It is in testing now and once they get done , I am sure it will be posted for all to use.
I'll be trying them soon! Can't wait.
- This will include a smaller file size (so it will help with you people running 1999 comps)
- Now includes ALL weapons + shields updated as well!
Also I've been told that Dragons ( All NPC really , but dragons in HD will be sick) and Zones are also getting worked on.

The graphic update in the OP are very nice. They add more immersion to classic EQ.
Same style graphics , it just has finer lines and makes robes and armor look way better.

I am playing on a 4k TV and the game looks amazing...

Now on the new update COMING SOON...
We are testing them out and smoothing out some bugs and once the maker says its good they will be released for the public.

Can't wait to share! it is pretty much the same thing as my original post but...

ALL weapons and shields are done . and he is working on HD dragons now.
Smaller file size etc.

You do not need a badass computer to run these updates.

The master is going to be working on doing everything in the game HD!
Now doing everything will be very time consuming and we probably won't see it for IMO 6 months +. Possibly less but it will be worth the wait.

I expect that the weapons / shields part will be released soon! *cough , do it , cough* They look great! and IMO it is ready , but it is not my call.

The weapon and character HD models are badass ! but once the whole game is done it is going to be insane. Still got that classic feel but damn near EQ 3. or Everquest HD )

Does it do anything for the Orb shields? What about the epics with big particle effects, does it still look better?

Hello , i'll get those uploaded asap. I will get a before and after on like War epic and the orb shield graphic . Working on it rn.

I do not think (but not positive , give me a min) it is a big difference particle wise , but I could be wrong.
I know it is real noticeable say on like a sarnak battle shield.
I am trying to get him to release it and people can enjoy it why waiting on the whole game to get HD.
