But a lot of design choices made in Velious seemed to go for mobs that are dropping less than they should. Vulak frequently drops 2 items when he should always drop 3. Tunare drops 1-2 items when he should be dropping 3-4 soon. Yelinak only drops 1 item outside of head and talisman, he should drop 3-4 items beyond head/talisman. Etc etc.
I don't know whether it's intentional, but it definitely feels like the content is frequently harder than it should be and very rarely easier, e.g. the First Brood's overtuned Dragon Fear.

I still like playing here <shrug>

Well let's be honest... The gear from mischief outside of BPs, Flowers, Cloak and 1 or 2 decent Armors are not worth the effort even with correct drop rates.

So once people get their BP and a few flowers they are done with anything useful in the zone.

I'd love to see PoMischief get classic with it. The Top Left / WoW combine for Funny Money, the 4 Funny Money turnin requirement, the Throne drop rate increased and on all the correct mobs.

whoa, whoa, mage legs and arms are awesome.

I agree with the funny money thing as well. Selling dolls for 80-100k is insane. People used to GIVE THOSE AWAY FOR FREE. And anyone seriously farming in the zone often used them for the regen clicks rather than combines, they were that common. The zone, as is, is broken beyond enjoyability.
I agree, people gave the dolls away for free on live, mainly due to the funny moneys were created with Words of Wealth PLUS Words of Wealth: TOP LEFT.

Please dev's, give us a time of day on this post on if it's going to be fixed or kept the same. The zone is definitely filled with plat farmers, not working together to get armor.

So any sort of acknowledgment would be fantastic.

* update in next patch*

or

* we need more proof*

or

* we recognize this but desire unclassically difficult*

It's your sand box, so I don't care what you decide. I just want to get my expectations correct.

If you think I'm letting this reach the 2nd page you would be mistaken.

When quoting my evidence threads, please cite the date you take a quote from and the title of the thread if you could.

Since I'm sure you won't do that:

December 2, 2001 - https://web.archive.org/web/20020116...art=41&stop=60

Thread Title: Throne drops since patch

Quote:
Well, the above post is one of the few that really gives us an idea of how rare the thrones are now. With so many people killing in PoM, the single posts "Got a throne off of such-and-such" sometimes fool us into thinking that maybe the drop rate isn't so bad.

However, 50+ hours of raid style clearing yielding one throne tells us how bad it is.

Anyone who has connections to Verant please send them the above post and see if that kind of drop rate is part of their "vision".
This is the post in response to the quote you cherry picked and provided not context for. Yes, the drop rate is accurate for Luclin Launch patch era, not for 90% of Velious. Keep in mind we are still in May of 2001. This nerf shouldn't happen until November/December 2001 which we currently have those drop rates on.

That aside all the evidence indicates big Glonk, Grink and Treasure Chests should drop thrones, before and after this nerf.

From Daldaen's own info:

"my guild on Sol Ro just made our first venture there, in the few days we were there, we cleared puppets 15+ times, AiW 10+, garden a few times, and cleared through most of the rest of the area. as well as generally explored being the PoM newbies we were, =)
in all the clearings, 1 red throne dropped in 4 days of hunting, at one point we cleared puppets 7 times in a row, clearing gorillas for library cards(which also seem to have become very rare, only 3 cards in 20+ clearings) in between spawns, and well I think we had 1 knight, 2 squires and maybe a crown in those 7 clearings of all 9 puppets.

so to sum up, 50+ hours of clearing = 1 red throne for Sol Ro"

Sounds accurate to me.
People like you just annoy me. Your evidence is flat out wrong for the era. At least fucking attempt to bring something meaningful to the discussion.
