I actually didn't. I was hitting him the whole time, chaining occlusion + Fufil's + snare. If I had kept Elemental Rhythms in the twist, it might have worked. Any real input or are you just trash-talking? Is your goal here to help me learn or to brag about how you're better than me at PvP? Oh.

So, next time, I'll try the range + chants strat until his hp goes down a bit and he starts I think about gating, then I'll go for interrupts. Problem is, I bet the next personI get to practice with is a wizard in PR gear.

You don't secure the kills, that is why there are rarely good YT.

So I've been told. But imagine if Tune was playing a bard these days. I'm sure he'd be killing people left and right. I'm trying to get that good.

Your best bet is to go find some melee out in the middle of a big zone and hope you kill them before their worker mallets procs.

Good tip. I've tried this a couple times. Some melees actually have too much HP and MR and can make it to a zone line before I kill them. Thanks for the intelligent response.

Propose alternatives. You guys (most of whom don't at bard, by the way) have lots to say about what not to do. How about suggestions?

Also, have you considered the fact that mages have bolts with 300 range? I will not be able to range his spells and chant him. I will have to twist Elemental Rhythms for FR and MR while chanting, and for that, I might as well be pretty close.

And no, I am not content to merely not die. I want to learn to actually secure kills on casters and on every class. Keep the criticism coming. I'm not too proud to hear what I did wrong.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I've learned what I can learn from this thread. Sorry for hijacking your killshot thread, Elemtal.

Most of Tune's kills came when there was an 8 level PvP range, people didn't have as good of gear, and highsun was overpowered/broken.

If your songs aren't landing on people there is nothing you can do. If you don't have a song memorized then run away, change your song and come back.

Doing melee is not an option. Just move on to the next target or find a group, which is where a bard really shines.
