Dark elf rangers would be a big hit probably too......... they look cool *shrug* doesn't mean they make any sense....

Erudites don't have any martial combat skills, no warrior, rogue.. monk would be a wild stretch I think... barbarian at least has warrior and rogue to justify being able to fight... and on live my guild <Vikings> took great pride in our ability to brawl drunkenly on corpse runs with all of our mighty hand to hand skill and alcohol tolerance skills hahaha

<Da Troll Patrol> had no time for such nonsense though... we were busy pillaging and plundering the southern desert regions and eradicating frog and lizard man menace!

Erudites DO get warrens in velious though! that's literally the ONLY thing I truly care about coming... I want it so bad. that was my new blackburrow, my hidden gem of awesomeness to escape the crazy people and twinks and trains and camps.

Otherwise just looking forwards to the class improvements and new spells and stuff more than any other content, personally.

Wow, so much thread derailment! One thought about the coldain shawl: it's something to do for people who aren't in ToV while they wait for a spot to open up while everything is perma-camped. Yes, my shaman would definitely rather have Strength of the Elements, but I'm guessing getting both the Phinny and Yael drops are gonna be tough for the first several months of Velious.

Another option that I fear will be common for players who can't find groups will be to tag mobs in Kael being camped by other groups sole for the faction hits. It looks like the quests for Bracer of Hammerfal and Talisman of Benevolence (or the other rewards) don't require waiting for a contested mob to spawn, just SS faction. Having the faction also sets you up for future benefits that may become available, like the circlet of falinkan and SS armor pieces that initially will be heavily contested.

Iksar Rogue makes perfect sense... ranger is so-so... problem is no druid = no rangers sadly. And iksar druid makes no sense. But it's complete B.S. because oyu don't have to have cleric to get Paladin access racially, look at halflings with cleric and warrior but no paladin, and high elves have cleric but no warrior and get paladin, and half elves have warrior but no clerics and get paladin....

makes ZERO sense to not give hybrid (rangers) to other races just because no druids...
never understood it since no other hybrid followed that logic until beastlord came around, and only shaman races got them.

Just one more case of the ranger getting the shaft.

The real question is why in hell don't half-elves get SK & Necro? As little love as they get you'd think they'd be natural recruits for Inny.

You just need faction, a couple of friends, and a few minutes to complete the quest, which is why there will be a Ragefire-esque circle of people auto-fire-clicking their turn in piece to Scout Charisa every 12 hours.
