So, I was 18, right, and intoxicated while eating take-out Chinese and walking around downtown Austin with my girlfriend at the time. She spots a tattoo parlor, that bitch, and says "Let's get a tattoo!". Like a grinning idiot, I say Mmmmmkay.

In we go, and I end up knowing the dude. Like, an acquaintance of a friend, otherwise I'm hoping he wouldn't let a drunk dude get a tattoo. Or maybe he would. I dunno. He was kinda a dick. Anyway, dude asks me "Wuddya want?" I got no idea, didn't come prepared, so I'm looking at the walls and magazines and junk, trying to see if anything catches me eye. Dude asks me again - girlfriends already picked hers - so I grab the first thing I see, which happens to be the unopened package of chopsticks in my pocket (White uncultured American. I use forks, gawddamnit), point at a random symbol on my package of chopsticks, and proudly yell out "I want that!", so that's what I got.

No idea what it is, but to me it's a constant reminder that I'm a fuckin' moron.

That felt good. Good thread. I feel purged.
