Maybe this rumor was spread by folks just trying to unload their wares, but more than a few people told me back in the day that if I had a full suit of black iron armor, it would have 'magical' properties. Like some added stat bonus for a full set, or a random proc of invulnerability in battle...yeah, we were wishing for the moon there !

Has anyone mentioned that having a Plains Pebble in your backpack would make you eat less?? Where did this myth come from? Did it work at one time??

THAT DEXTERITY EFFECTED HOW OFTEN YOUR HITS LANDED!!! HOLY CRAP I DUMPED ALL MY BEGINNING STATS IN TO DEX AS A HALF-ELF WARRIOR.

In retrospect I now know why I sucked so much. I didn't find out dex had no bearing on chance to land a hit until PoP....

Other stupid myths:
-You could pick up a thrown item. I tried it on a dragoon dirk around level 8. I never got it back [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
-That you wanted a big number on your weapons, namely delay. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
-You could get re-aggro with a mob at a great distance despite zoning out and zoning back in.
-That the world was really this dark (until I adjusted gamma which was set automatically at max low when I began)
-That skeletons in EC dropped Lamentations (from Kunark), but was in reality a rusty mace.
-The warriors were a good class to play back in classic.

Dexterity in a warrior would affect how often a weapon procs though, doesn't it? Which is good for holding aggro? I don't know much about warriors but this doesn't seem like the *worst* thing you could do with your starting stats.

I'd also get gear that was heavily dexterity-oriented...anyways, my objective was to increase my dex which I thought would increase the chance to land a hit, not procs. I didn't even know what a "proc" was when I started the game.
