Heartbrand's tune always changes depending on what bandwagon he's on. Honestly pretty funny to watch him white knight for Nilly for the 3rd time. Holocaust HB was also pretty entertaining with all the burn the server to the ground and freesmallme posts.

Obviously we can't discuss this because no matter what is said you are going to cling to the Nizzarrs nuts. I guess we gotta wait til HB leaves Nillly again to get a different opinion.

Only the best of trolls actually preach things they don't believe in for the sake of forum quest. The average poster doesn't change their opinion they just only voice their opinions that aren't directly against current guild members.

There are people on both sides that people think are dumb and post stupid shit but obviously guild members don't call out their own guild mates or it could disrupt the sweet sweet pixel shower.

I change my mind often because circumstances on this server change often. We're not talking about fundamental laws of physics which are immutable. For example, I was convinced that the Nagafen "exploit" was dastardly and what not when it occurred. Now, having been in Nihilum for a long time and seeing dragons such as Nexona bugged for over a year, dragons like Druushk bugged for over a year, during which time zero responses occurred on bug threads, I can see why people might reasonably decide "fuck it" and use some advanced tactics to dispose of them, sort of like what happened when Nagafen got stuck in the geometry for several days and no guide would log on to reset him.

Another example, I was originally incredibly against Variance, because the server was basically just Nihilum raiding and it was nothing more than a "tax" on Nihilum. Now, with vibrant competition, I think some form of "Variance" or random repop timer resets would be a good thing to help continue healthy competition. The fundamentals have changed, so my opinion has changed.

I used to be incredibly against item loot, but now, I see it as the only logical way to make this server better.

There's nothing wrong with having an evolving opinion as you devour more facts. I'd be more afraid of the ideologues on these boards who continue to parrot the same views three plus years into the server who don't even play here.

hmm yes it's very strange that hughman, the guy who tanked the dragon and helped them pull it into a wall, and nerfed, one of their only clerics who was also there from day one, both openly admit that nagafen was intentionally dragged into the wall so that it wouldn't aoe all three times they killed it

I think item loot could be fun but only if drop rates were either drastically increased or decreased, if the crafting systems were refined to be more productive, merchant item prices weren't outrageous or there was no PvP level range. Anyone of these things could make item loot viable but with Red99 game mechanics at their current state item loot seems like it would only cater to hardest of sadomasochists. Resources are already scarce and providing an avenue to which players can take others' resources without any kind of balance will kill the population.
