yup, nothing wrong with farming faction if you are gonna use it correctly. We def encourage it. The way rexx and co tried to benefit from it was laughable at best. Standing under dragons whose AoE you can trigger with a DA. No imagination. Rip Mitic, never saw him log back in after Nexona prepped him for colgate and edward despite hours of factioning. Checkraise's ideas for wanting to acquire faction were as easy to bypass of those of Rexx, so it didn't motivate anyone.

I can see both sides of the argument. On one hand, someone like me who didn't even know this project existed until Kunark came out had no chance at being pots bound, getting a DE mask to drop, etc kinda sucks. On the other hand, from what I understand the manastone/DE mask camps were a warzone 24/7 when they dropped and it would sort of lessen the accomplishment of getting one.

One thing I will totally agree on with the OP is this "not classic" nonsense is ridiculous. Here are some non classic things we deal with every day on R99:

1. Non classic resists (not even f'ing CLOSE)
2. Items aren't rechargable
3. Golem wands
4. Tstaff procs
5. Necro/SK lifetaps not healing for full
5. Somewhere between 1/4th and 1/8th the population of a live server
6. General ruleset: no +/- 4 PVP server w/ no item loot in this era, etc
7. PNP rules enforced
8. Exp bonus
9. MOST IMPORTANTLY....2+ years in Kunark isn't classic.

The reason that the majority of those differences exist? Because it makes this server playable. Throwing out any idea on the grounds of not classic is just dumb.
