I think one thing he nailed was the fact that a man's measurement of success relies too heavily on the amount of approval he receives from women. While he did misuse the term Mary-Sue, as someone else pointed out, he raises a valid question: why should we be forced to base our value on the half of the species that is responsible for perpetuating such shitty pop-culture?
