It's actually not a very dangerous place because my mom's basement is in a nice, wealthy, low-crime area where I don't have to worry about white trash shooting each other over property theft.

Not "angry" at all. But if someone approaches me and my child and refuses to back off, I see that as a direct threat and me and my family. I will put myself between him and my child and draw on him. Everything went to hell when they invented cart tenders at super markets. My parents made me push the cart back to the front of the store because some jackass might dent their car with it. The whole deal has gone to hell since kids started taking timeouts instead of being held responsible for their actions. When I was a kid you respected people (not just your elders). It has all gone wrong, poor decisions have repercussions and kids have no clue about that nowadays. I BLAME YOU! It has nothing to do with the form of punishment you use.
