On http://ahungry.com/eqauctions/ it shows the EC /auc channel (actually, it would show any /auc's caught anywhere if people ran the logger at all times), with a limit of the last 3 /auc's of any one character.

Then, you can filter it down by item names, or by item stats (under advanced search).

If you'd like to see any other changes, let me know! I love coding and making things people find useful [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Also - if you notice it is not current and you are trying to shop in EC, for the love of all, download the log uploader, run it, and type /log!
You realize I could easily edit my logs before uploading to site? I do love the site though sir.

Yes, they got it right.

They got it so right that you could practically automate selling your shit. In fact, you can! When you compete on those systems, you're up against a relentless undercutting machine that takes almost all the dynamics out of selling pixels. It also encourages, directly and indirectly, "gold farming".

I honestly don't even like the fact that we have an auction tracker that some people refuse to deviate from at all, which takes liquidity away from a true supply/demand barter system except for some super-high demand items, but that's the way it's done here (and yes, it is convenient).
I totally agree about the auction tracker and the undercutting. The thing is even with a bazaar that would happen. so you might as well do a real auction house. Id prefer to just leave it as EC. Im not saying EC cant be improved on. I'm just saying its better than the Bazaar or an auction house.

All auctioning should be limited to the SAY channel.

This would clearly be the most realistic solution.
I always wondered why they didn't use say. Makes sense. Want to buy and sell? Go to the tunnel. Not much of a difference except you have to be in range.

Why not simply scroll the chatbox up? The chatbox doesn't scroll when you have it scrolled up, so how is not being able to click an item(because you won't scroll up one time) reason enough to implement bazaar? Sounds like someone just wasn't paying enough attention and missed a sweet deal on phat lewts with all the spam. We've all been there. Just use ahungry and ignore the people with 9 line macros.

Yes, it is possible. If it happened I would probably have to limit uploading access to only those I would trust to do it.

It would be a 5 minute inconvenience, the tracker would still be fine [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I've never edited logs, seems mad sad and bad to do so. I often afk at night and leave auction open and the app you use. Useful for finding items the next day, and you can find good deals too.

Thank you for this service friend.

Also due to douchebaggery and recent raidscene meltdown, logs are ran on all chars at all times.
Like I said helpful as hell. Plus the parser I use is very good.

fraps only a key click away... so sad. :^/

As someone who doesn't really engage with the EC minigame I have a few questions regarding comments against bazaar/auction house systems.

How is undercutting a problem with bazaar? If someone wants to sell quicker than you and is willing to take less pp how does that go against supply / demand?

Also, if people that are willing to sell quicker/more cheaply than you are able to restock their items before you can make a sell how does that go against supply / demand?
