Always nice to get some perspective from the average TMO player. This guy allowed a monk item to go to a monk 3 years ago. What a stellar guy.

Is this is the part where I link the posts that TMO have made where they are selling all the epic loot MQs that they have denied from the rest of the server since just after the beginning of Kunark?

I've learned my lesson. I tend to roll with nbg but after having so many casters roll on melee loot saying I need the money for spells. Then go solo guess what your a caster chances are you can solo pretty much anything, im a melee over 50 i cant solo dick to get money.

not directed at op, i feel your pain but this server is not nbg friendly.

NBG is just plain unfair in pickup groups. Unless the camp you're at has exactly one item of the same exact price for every member of the group, someone gets screwed by NBG.

I love how OP complains about how "wrong" it is that his group did things randomly, but he sees nothing wrong in telling someone "come group with us ... you won't get any loot and we will because this camp has stuff we need and you don't, but come group anyway." Because that's what essentially what you're saying when you do NBG in a pickup group.

NBG is for noobies. Everyone wants that phatty PP to get ahead. Logged in to crypt other day and heard someone say "So if JBB or Torpor drop, the shammy gets it cuz its a clear upgrade - right?" Group cut of his nutsack and laughed him out of town - as they should of done.

I would love to join one of your NBG grps tho bro - Ill just take off my gear first <3 Just dont ask me why I have to corpse something before you give me my lewtz.

The loot rules are what you agree on when you join the group...if you don't like the rules when you join, drop the group. If you don't think to ask before loot drops that is your fault (all you can do is cry about it).

On this server, and on live (I think this thread started like a day after launch in 1999) for that matter, lots of folks---for good reasons---don't like to do NBG.

Bottom line, ask when you join a grp. If you can't agree to the rules don't stay in the group.

Saw some monk NBG a tranq staff years ago. He lost roll and threw a fit, so the group gave it to him.

2 days later saw him selling it in EC.

NBG sucks and I don't blame people for not doing it.

I was in a Chardok AoE group some time ago and a Stave of Shielding dropped (valued around 30k at the time). The group decided that it was deserving to give it to our monk/puller, as it was relatively his BiS at the time. That monk was Option, who later joined our guild and was one of the best assets to Forceful Entry and one of our most talented members.

I love NBG, when I get invited into a group I would bring some cheap gear and switch out the pieces when the item drops to get it. Then I would switch back, and sell it.
