I'd say based on those logs and him successfully killing two opponents before dying that his intent was obvious: to pvp.

Training is intentionally gaining aggro with the intention of shifting that aggro to your opponents instead of fighting them.

Interpreting player intent is not fucking rocket science (or is it?).

Pulling 30 mobs on someone while you try to blow your disc on one person is a far cry from having 1 or 2 mobs while trying to actually pvp several people that are already fighting mobs.
