So yes, Deflux always did 219 dmg in pvp which is why it's an overrated spell (much like Splurt) and why necros are garbage post 50 -- which is classic. Necros sucked balls from 51-60 and were completely absent from pvp servers.

A paladin is very low DPS and this is my first melee class I got serious with I'm doing better and eventually I will be one of those top paly.

No your right the returned heal was 100% even tho the nuke portion was minus close to 33%.

But necro's didn't get life back for taping victims with skins. Pretty much the same thing as enchanter they couldn't theft mobs that didn't have mana. If the tap did no dmg they got no life back. Of course this didn't apply to Vexing or lifetap dot which always bypassed skins like every dot.

I THINK later on they changed it so a necro couldn't tap more life than in pool because I remember necro's used to tap like gnoll pups and get full amount restored and at some point they changed that, just don't remember when.

Lifetaps did 66% dmg and healed for 66% health. It was always this way. Vexing didn't have this problem because Vexing is 2 spell components, a debuff on the target and a buff on the caster. The coding didn't reflect the dmg nerf on the buff.

Also I'm glad you beat up some newbie druids post 50, but Necros were not good in pvp post 50.

NOPE maybe if you actually played on live you'd know this but Thrilla said it correctly.

Played a necro since the first day on Vallon Zek. You and Thrilla are completely wrong. Please go find a screenshot of Deflux healing for 330 in pvp. You can't because it never happened.

Also I didn't talk about Vexing's damage component, just the healing buff.

If my memory serves me correctly it did 100% and healed 100% pvp.it always did 330 bro.......remember when crits came out and 1440 was damage on 720 damage touch of nights?? I remember crit heals multiplied was correct on the heal portion.....I remembered non crits healing for 1440 on crit heals.....idk seemed atleast one half did full if not both the heal/damage portions. I could possible dig up an old ss or two

Hopefully resists will be somewhere in between current and classic, but more favorable to classic.

The thing about classic pvp was that not only did many people not know about the advantages of resist gear, they did not have the knowledge of how to acquire said gear nor was this gear as easy to obtain as it is on a 100~ pop server. This is very different from how it is today, and will mean 90% of players will be almost completely immune to most spells. This is one of the reasons pvp resists changed so dramatically after velious.

What they need to do is take the current resist code and cut the resist threshold in half. Currently you need 150~ to get reliable resists. Make that 75~ and add in the classic complete resists that scale up in likelihood as you go over 100+ save.

This would account for everyone playing in BIS resist gear and velious without spells being completely OP the way Null had it set up.
