Red99 is getting fixed first. Teams99 will be released with a faster timeline after all the pvp fixes are done. Boxes will be merged based on population and popularity of rules. So if a particular rule is really unpopular. Say Item loot. It will be removed at merge. You can play on both boxes at once. Theres no ETA, nothing is fleshed out and teams99 is not even a certainty. You have plenty time to see the endgame on R99 before worrying about getting legacy items on the new box ) If teams99 flops, you will be able to keep your characters and at least have a chance for goodies on R99 like rubis, manastones, and guises =) Its funny seeing the end gamers shaking in their boots that population could rise one day to 300+ though and a real opposition could form no matter what their gear, and level status is =) Don't let the naysers detract you! Its all part of their metagame plan. And Ding 16 =)

![]() I tried red but eq pvp is too unbalanced to support such a small population.

![]() I would like to update and bump!
So far I have got level 21, and some very decent gear. Thanks to the kind souls on this server. Today, I spent a lot of time soloing orc legionaires. I ran into believe it or not another noob! But this wasn't just any noob it was an EQ noob. And not only an EQ noob, a PvP noob. You would have never guessed from 1st impressions. I was hiding at the camp watching some glorious youtube and slowly killing a lego once my health was up to decent levels. And I got a group invite. Some lowbie ranger sent me a tell looking for a group in, guess where... OASIS!!!! (Been LFG there for many days). So as I got up to leave I saw a newbie run into the camp screaming in /shout for buffs (I'm the only one in zone) and proceed to gank the mob I was camping. In a fury I chased them down and backstabbed them... Was this a necro? SK? Did he have treeweeve? Were those dragonclaws? Did they know about PvP, Where they going to bash me with that sheild and interupt me with their low delay weapon? Did I face an HT? All of these things flashed through my mind as I rushed into battle this foe. He was lower then me and already fighting a monster. But I would not let this chance pass. I have no amazing gear or weapons myself and for all I know this guy has the equivalent of VP gear. I stabbed him and he ran in fear. He strafed very well. I was sure I got the jump on an EVIL NIHILUM alt. (By now I know who the BAD GUYS are). We ran through the zone, I was assuming he was running to the guards or the zone line. And I got a few lucky stabs in. But the killer, was an Ad from a ghoul which stunned him. I got a few more lucky stabs and I finished him off. The monsters didn't even notice me as I vanished into the air. He had a nice juicy 11 plat on him. Probably too lazy to bank. I went off to oasis to meet my partner and got a tell asking, "Hey can this SK join us". I was like ... sure, he's pretty mad though. Needless to say, I told him I was more than happy to group, and wouldn't PK him. He said, fine. I met him in Oasis and inspected my new found groupmate.... LOW and BEHOLD he has CLOTH ARMOR!!!!!! and a Leather Tunic. This poor unfortunate soul was in worse need then I! I quickly offered to supply him with the finest banded I could make. Which he recieved upon delivery. By the time I got back to Oasis the zone was full of life! There were at least 8 people there. We grouped for a bit and had some tribulations with organization. But all eventually went well and on one of my runs back to my corpse I ran into some extremely skilled and deadly efficient mercenaries that I had grouped with once before for a short while. A monk and Bard. They were geared in your standard classic lowbie items, nothing special. But looked like they knew what they were doing and down to business. The monk will make a great plushie one day. We quickly recruited these masters of all things EQ and we started to destroy anything scaled and grey in the zone. The SK didn't even know how to use his disease cloud!!!! We quickly schooled this new player on the use of their most important spell and got to work! It was glorious, crocs and orcs were splattered everywhere. Nothing could stand in our path. We were trading agro and bouncing mobs back and forth. Kiting and slaying. Yet an EVIL darkness approached. A very sad little gnome. He didn't even have wooden legs. This GNOME was none other than Slumlord. My group screamed in terror as he approached and I said. Prepare for death! I jousted Slumlord as much as I could. But there was no escaping his foul Nihilum tainted ragebringer 1.0 or his super buffs. I tried to use a pumice on him, but got stabbed before I could even land the dispell. I fell. It turns out our SK friend, ran at the first sight of this new foe and told the group he would be soloing near the docs! On the way back he decided to leave us alone. The ganker had no interest in killing us much that night. The rest of the group was far OOR. We proceeded to fight for a bit longer and after another hour our friend re-appeared. We decided to leave at that point rather than face an impossible and sad foe. This gnome seems to have no passion for warfare. They just want an easy win button. I guess they feel entitled to it. After poopsocking for Nizzar all this time. Yet we still had fun. Our grind was not deterred. We pvp'd. I won a battle. And made more friends! When I logged on briefly later I saw Slumlords forlorn corpse in the middle of oasis. Curled up and alone. Something got him. Probably his own hatred of himself. For being a week and childish thug. This is the story of my first day of pvp. And P.S. level 21 =) See you at level 60 Slumlord! Joshy, hang in there. People will ridicule you for your first gut reactions. But I see potential in you. You will be a great SK one day. Stay loyal, and stay true!

![]() A fine story sir.
Everyone who played the live red servers had a similar baptism to real EQ. Will blue be as gratifying? It cant, your on the other side now. You've been in the shit now. Got that "thousand yard stare"

I really hate epic twinks that ruin it for other new players. I dont do it and I will discipline anyone in Nihilum doing it. Just shoot me a tell if an alt of ours is giving you trouble. We dont partake in newbie griefing unless you're twinked. We'll kill twinked players if were running around with a twink ourselves. Consider yourself warned!
