How does FF9s story hold up? Thinking of trying to beat it as opposed to going back to finally beat FF8
9 is amazing the story gets good im not sure how far youve gotten but there are aspects that remind me of 7. the ending was absolutey beautiful

Have never played it before. Have it on PS3 though. Was debating trying to beat FF8 (never finished it) or starting FF9

Play them both. Running through 9 myself again currently. I play them all about a once a year.

FF8 was one of those that I never beat the first time through. I liked the story, but disliked the system. When I picked it up again a year later I enjoyed the hell out of it. Ultimecia's castle is a real pain in the ass though, no surprise you stopped at that point!

I mean it sucked cause I was literally stuck. I couldn't even grind any levels. I literally crashed into her castle and couldn't beat those first people that attacked (the Turks wannabes). It pissed me off so bad. Wasted hours to just be stuck on 3 unbeatable douchebags.

My favforite super mario was 3 hands down, though super mario world was a BLAST and one of my fondest memories, honestly one of the few times my brother and I have ever hung out in the last 22 years.

but 3 had so many great things in it, except world 7 F that noise.
