Why would anyone start a new character on a server with RZ rules where everyone is 60

Heaven forbid anyone be at a disadvantage while working their way up in an MMO. Losing really sucks, and no one should have to put up with the humiliation of being killed in a PvP MMO, especially not for some lame reason like their opponents having spent more time leveling or accumulating gear.

My point is that EQ end game is shallow deep, theres not much to it. If you played blue, its about getting new gear, starting another class if you got a lot of time on your hands, experiencing PVE content, thats it.

If youre playing PVP, then all there is more on top of that is to fight over camps, and "Call of duty-ing" it, having fun setting up ambushes in Gfay by hiding behind a big tree and jumping some random guy, things like that.

You misinterpret what im saying, im not saying that they should never die, im saying the death penalty is idiotic because it puts a huge deterrent to doing basically one of the only fun things in EQ: Mindlessly "Call of duty-ing" it up against other players because its kinda fun.

They should die over someone with more levels and gear usually, ideally with at least some chance of fighting back. But making them lose huge chunks of xp for fighting someone with those odds, when theres basically nothing to do in the game but that, is stupid.

Only fucking neckbeards with no lives or only care about griefing or is a blue dev that doesnt actually play the server / thinks of pvp as griefing that is best avoided (Solution: wait for it, make the pvp deaths more griefy) are incapable of seeing this, which is why its a low pop server with alot of neckbeards and griefers and devs who couldnt fix this box even if they were hit with a fixthebox stick.

Oh, I see. Sorry; I thought your post was something other than your usual complaints.

The devs and GMs know how we feel about the xp loss. If it makes the game unplayable for you, that's fine. Stop wasting your time crying about it here, it gets old. Not even several month's worth of complaining from you will expedite the process, if there is to be one.

Almost every post you make is about the same topic: xp loss in pvp. And what you're doing is not debating. Not because you don't make any great points, and not because you're wrong; but because no one is disagreeing with you. Experience loss wasn't classic, and I feel it's failed here as a mechanic. This community needs no help from the devs to grief itself, unfortunately, and I have learned this first-hand.

You are 100% right about experience loss. I myself made a thread asking for it to be removed. The response we have received about it is that Sirken agrees with us, nilbog has voted on it, and we are waiting for Rogean to make his vote and implement whatever changes, if any, are to be made. With this in mind, it is not a prudent to spend anymore time discussing or trying to debate the topic. Things are in the hands of the developers now, and it's a bit late to be changing any minds. Whether experience loss is removed or not (I have high hopes), we can stop complaining about it.

The server is run freely for our amusement as sort of a hobby of these people. Unless you believe some of the conspiracy theories concerning RMT, this server is almost like a gift that the devs have given us. Many people seem to forget this, and demand things in a modern sense, which means they feel upset when not force-fed instant gratification. If I were a dev here, I wouldn't feel very motivated to make changes for the pvp community either, and that's not taking into account whatever other obligations these people have (jobs, families, etc.). Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but oftentimes the opposite is true. A little politeness and sympathy can go a long way.
