I actually made a similar investment by purchasing Nvidia stock several months ago and I'm up over 40% on it. No doubt the cryptocurrency hype is helping them out and it seemed like a no brainer since I knew whether or not crypotocurrencies failed the company was benefiting from people like hokuten buying up their products to mine. The downside risk was minimal.

Any increase in applications for blockchain technologies should keep increasing demand for nice GPUs.

6 months ago i bought nvidia at like 160 a share or so, sold it all recently at 215 a share and put it all into crypto.

risky move having less diversification but fuck i really feel like blockchain technology is the future.

I am also intrigued by the potential for blockchain technology but the current method of using it for currencies doesn't have my interest. I have a hard time betting against central banks getting their way. If it does stick around and there is no getting around it why wouldn't countries just create their own forcing everyone to flock to the new currency backed by a country like the US? I am on board with the idea of a digital currency if done right though.

For now I'm investing around it because I'm aggressive enough as it is with my investments but I'm excited to see where it goes.
