People aren't offended by the statement "Caucasians are historically the most oppressive people on the planet." If it offends or upsets or challenges the majority of people posting on P99 RnF, that's the clearest indication that it's not going to offend the majority of people who actually know how to use their brains in the real world.

I'm positing that it is a true statement, and nothing anyone has said so far has even come close to disproving it. We shouldn't just give up in trying to reach a consensus on what words mean just because they're elastic. All words are slippery - definitions change and evolve, and we define things based on our cultural reality which changes over time and all the time. Hate speech isn't oppression, but it's oppressive, and facts are simply not hate speech and nor should they be.

I'm not the guilt-ridden white man you're looking for. I probably know more about and have much more respect for white culture than any of you, which is the very reason I argue so fervently about it. I'm willing to say maybe, but probably not. I mean I'm fully aware that there's a point at which political correctness becomes problematic, but I'm also aware that Richard Dawkins looks like a complete asshole every time he says anything political.
