Forgiveness yes, state income taxes no.
It's not 'forgiveness'. It's redistribution of responsibility.

Hope that helps

80k IRS agents, the ironically students find out they're getting a new tax.

Funny how that works out.

Yeah to be more specirfic, its not redistribution of responsibility.

it's generating cash out of thin air

the bank writes down that they give you money they never give you, the bank writes down that they gave the school money they never gave them, and the school gets to exchange that writing into cash freshly minted from the FED.

And then when that cash never trickles down to the students the say they cant pay for all those numbers the bank was excahnging between parties.

And so the bank asks the goverment for them to create new dollars, to cover the fake ones the bank created that needed to be paid back by someone who cant (or doesn't want to).

So really, it's just a gigantic money printing scheme, by the 1%

Heart of the issue : it is not the taxpayer's responsibility to pay for people's degree loans.

You saw how much that loan was when you signed up for it.

Making arguments that money was wasted bailing out other stupid stuff is a dumb argument. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I find your fresh attitude to be preposterous, society is in dire need of better funding for education and takes like this are a perfect example why. Kids like you will understand when you get older.
