That you used "cuck", one of the most overused insults nowadays, is the only thing that's insulting because it shows a lack of effort and creativity. If the other person in the debate can't even be bothered to string more than three sentence fragments together with a colorful insult, that suggests they also haven't put in the effort to do the necessary research.

Yes, people get sick during flu season. But governments with opposing interests around the world don't suddenly copy one another unless there's a good reason. They also don't just cough up billions on a whim.

Of course, there is the possibility that this hyper-tense state may cause more longterm problems than COVID-19 itself. Time will tell. But even as an overreaction, it's still a test to see if and how well the systems in place function. An expensive test, but far less expensive than the potential consequences from inaction.

Already public life is a bit surreal, like an episode of the Outer Limits / Twilight Zone. Store shelves are emptied of select necessities. Schools are closed. Children aren't outside. Neighborhoods have an eerie September eleventh quiet to them. It's nice to have a bit of normalcy online / in-game.

Not gonna lie, I had my suspicions!

I've set up an escape rope depending on how things go in the UK for the next couple of weeks... Will bunker up on a Greek Island. Flights were almost free, almost empty. Hopefully we survive the recycled air / don't spread any infection to anyone else if it comes to it.
