The issue is that it doesn't solve the problem of higher education being so expensive in the first place. It's a feel-good bandaid before the midterms. It will help some people yes but what about students that haven't graduated yet? Can they also get 10k of relief when they graduate in 2023 or 2024?

It's not unlike developing a cure for cancer but only some people 18 and over as of right now can get it. You're turning 18 next year or some time after? Nope no cure for cancer for you.
