Welcome to the United States where you have your cake and eat it too.

Did y'all know that the last time Ronnie Van Zant flew, he died?

Having a talk with the BigJ and wondering what others think.

If I had to pick reasons why I dont like 0bama, in the toip 3 or 5 I would have put, Chelsea Manning.

But now thats changed. What I dont understand is what took so long? Why now? Why not 6 months ago? or 7 years ago?

Why the total 180? Bear in mind, its a 180 from his admins policy not his rhetoric. His policy was a 180 from his rhetoiric. Which was also a big part of why I dont like the guy. But now it seem's hes come full 360... hes acting as he says instead of the oposite. Which is wierd.

Lets discuss this. Why is 0bama still 0 after finally doing something he said? Albeit so late it probably will have lasting damage on Manning personal stability and life, damaged the entire left's credibility and contrary to a pretty authoritarian policy on political secrets and data collection he and the democratic party has been holding fast on (along with the GOP).

Was 0bama doing this, JUST to spite progressives in the dem party that were using it as a reason to argue against the establishment? Now they have less legs to stand on.

Did he not really do anything, and it was pressure from those very same progressives that forced his hand? After the election has come to an end, what leverage could they possibly have had to force his hand anyway? I am dubious that is the cause.

what does though think?
Obviously Obama is just a total F ing hypocrit, that is why... leaking stuff to make the US looks bad, is good <Manning>; leaking stuff to make libturds look bad, is EVIL <Assange, Russia, and WikiLeaks when it hurt Hillary>

Would like to quote Bigj on this one but I'll let him do that on his own, but I do believe 100% his opinion to be true on this matter. Its in line with yours, nilston.

Took a little bit too much opium and spent a couple days sleeping / in a dreamlike state. Rest assured my astral projection was sparring with your post, but it's passé now.

Kind of like how Trump applauded the hacking and leaking of the corrupt Demoratic primary and then whined over the last couple weeks about the intelligence community leaking info that was inconvenient to him.

It rhymes. It's poetry.

Using GOP behavior to justify DEM behavior is one of my favorite reasons the dem party got raped last month.

Not justifying DEM behavior, quit being so tribal and assuming I'm playing for a team. Republican electoral shenanigans paled in comparison to what the Democrats and their media surrogates did during their primary.

You can't look at the way things are playing out so far and think #1 is going to go down. It's pretty clear Pence & Ryan are running the show from a policy standpoint.

Sadly, the spirit of Ayn Rand is actually very popular in the US, and it mainly manifests as this fiscal conservative sentiment that anything you do to enhance the position of labor or regulate the private sector directly translates into killing jobs and ruining the economy. Ayn Rand really resonates in the US because we're a ruggedly individualist (and increasingly selfish) culture.
If it was anyone but Trump Id agree. But he has continued to be unpredictable. There's a theory right now out there that Trump didn't even want most of his nominees confirmed. I actually don't think he planned on having them all confirmed and really only wanted the generals + Tillerson (who were the only ones that did their paperwork properly I might add). He has already refused to let anyone stay for 1-2 months (which is the norm) and is going to let offices be unfilled. Its not too much a stretch to suggest he is doing it on purpose.

I think it is safe to say Trump will be no friend to the environment -- or anything long term like that. But I do think he is going to try to make working white people happy with him. Of course I could be wrong and he might just be a Reagen-like dumbass that is just happy to be the front man.

The fact is that Libertarianism is a minority ideology that has been falsely inflated by the corporate media and public relations messaging. But this as a way of controlling society is on the decline...IMO because the internet combined with underemployed highly educated people. It's getting more and more unsustainable.

US is full of hypocrits. Difference is, libturds dominate the narrative, so to hear them whine is rich, and actually quite humorous
