This is true. Racism is only top-down and never bottom-up. Thus, in any situation where one racial group has power, they have the potential to be racist (e.g. mexican racism against salvadorans in predominantly mexican neighborhoods). it's amazing how much underlying racial tension can explode on the basis of a case that really has almost nothing to do with race

fukn fbi can't find evidence zimmerman was racist, his ex-fiancée that filed a restraining order against him says she never heard him say anything racist, he self identifies as hispanic

too many people are way too eager to scream racism. it exists and it's no small potatoes, but it's also not responsible for every injustice visited upon a black person.

and in this instance, even IF zimmerman is a racist and followed trayvon based at least partly on his skin color, it doesn't change the facts of the case at all. you still don't know who started the fight, you still don't know who screamed for help, you still have reasonable doubt as to whether or not zimmerman was acting in self defense

where the hell are you from, minneapolis or something? maybe montana? any city/state where the population is 99.9% homogenous will suffice.

because in the real world, these groups inherently form communities with each other. for instance, many major cities across the country have a china town. they weren't forced to live there.

the shrimping population on the gulf coast is mostly vietnamese. why? because shrimping is a skill already familiar to their culture, so the shrimping families all migrated to the same place, ultimately transforming the gulf coast into a strong vietnamese cultural center. you end up with vietnamese-american boat owners, business owners, land owners, council men, mayors, state representatives, us congressmen/senators, etc, etc

it does not make on a racist to recognize the success of these vietnamese-americans.

almost every culture mimics this kind of behaviour, african-americans included.

so clearly these kinds of things don't exist.

my guess is he was following him not because of his skin colour, but because of the rash of recent break-ins in the neighbourhood perpetrated by kids in hoodies

Media is the real problem... They create racism at any opportunity to stir the pot for ratings and a large majority of the population eats it up. I would be glad to see GZ's defamation case against MSNBC succeed since they created this whole mess to begin with.
