False, false.

https://www.redfin.com/news/investor...hases-q4-2023/

30% of the single family homes in the USA are owned by investors.

Your % filters out 99% of housing speculation by adding strict restrictions on what counts as an "institutional investor"

https://www.worldpropertyjournal.com...data-13837.php

Small investors (individuals that own 2-9 homes) make up 62% of housing speculatoin.

That leaves 40% of 30% of the housing market, owned by an "investment group" (1 or more investors)

And a tiny fraction of them being "investment institutions".

Group: a collection of individual investors who pool their resources to invest together. An investment group might be formed among friends, family, or business associates.

Institution: This refers to a more formal and established organization that manages investments as its primary business function. Examples include banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, pension funds, and mutual funds.

A group, is just a not formaly recognized corperation, there's thousands of them. And they make up for 62% of the 30% of homes that are owned by investors.

That's a YUGE portion of the single family home pool.

There are approximately 90 million single-family detached homes in the United States.

30% are owned by investors: (more than 1 home). That's 27 million homes are owned by investors.

And 16.7 million homes owned by "investment groups"....

And thats just 2-9 homes.. (Institutional investors own 10-?,???)

So yes, this is a huge reason housing costs so much.

I know this because like I said, Im a bernie progressive leftist.
Private equity is when own 2 homes.

that's kinda the point when you got whatever interests owning several, or thousands of properties, you create an economic environment that prices out millions of people who could have otherwise bought a home.

there is a bigger issue here that im tryin to draw attention to, which is the monetization of human happiness.

if people have decent jobs and can afford a decent place to live, then they aren't gonna lose their lives to drugs or whatever else

Trump had closed oil refs & Seaports w/ no rapid plan to reopen them after his mismanagement of Covid recession. So when recession was over demand returned & we got 9.2% inflation. Thanks Trump!

Biden did bring inflation down but I free the Trump admin again will induce a recession.

Is that all you have ... an insult and nothing educational to add?

Oct 24, 2022
The backup of container ships off Southern California’s coast that was at the heart of U.S. supply chain congestion during the Covid-19 pandemic has effectively disappeared.

Examples of Oil refineries that weren't bailed out by the Trump administration when gas was too cheap due to the Orange man's mismanagement of Covid recession to make a profit from:

In 2020, Marathon Petroleum permanently closed two of its refineries: one in Martinez, California, and another in Gallup, New Mexico12. Additionally, Calcasieu Refining in Lake Charles, Louisiana, also shut down permanently in 2020

(At least the Dems bailed out some of the car companies that paid back their loan. When have you ever heard of an Oil Ref unable to pay back a bailout?)

So yes... The Dems helped to fix the recession and the demand quickly returned.
A demand we couldn't meet. Hence the inflation of 9.2% that needed to be worked down by the Dems.

And now the Orange man will be working to put us in another mismanaged recession.

So yes Thanks Trump for the inflation we blame on the Biden and Harris administration.

No he's been trying to get through to you and you have been ignoring everything he says.

Did you even notice he has the same outlook on housing as progressives but you'd rather fight with him about trump than get together and do anything about it?

Stop Predatory Investing Act
Sponsored by Senators Brown, Wyden, Smith, Reed,
Merkley, Fetterman, Warren, and Baldwin

We face a shortage of 3.8 million homes, and aspiring homeowners across the country are
unable to find a place they can afford. In the middle of this incredible housing shortage, large
investors, including private equity firms, Real Estate Investment Trusts, and publicly traded
companies, have bought up a growing number of single-family homes.
see that reiwa, even sanders, warren, the whole lot agree. But we burnt down the forest because there was an orange tree smh

Is it setting in now how the recession and inflation is hugely due to the previous Trump administration and it is happen again thanks to the limited education of the Orange voter? Imagine if the Trump administration had a rapid plan to reopen the nations largest sea ports? Or if the Trump administration bailed out some oil refineries.

He's making up numbers from articles that are statistically describing purchase increases in a particular quarter. Not total ownership.

Warren and Sanders saying so is a good indication that it's a fib. A big ole fib!
