The downside to these is that I’ve seen for social support programs cause people to willingly choose to remain unemployed rather than look for work so as to not lose their benefits

As we know the Supreme Court struck down the Biden Harris administration student loan forgiveness plan. It was a bad ruling but unsurprising given the current makeup of the Supreme Court.

Pause on student loan repayments is ending on September 1st and will be due in October.

However, in response to the ruling and to help borrowers, the Biden Harris administration is launching the SAVE plan, which is the most affordable student loan repayment plan ever!

This plan does a lot of Great Stuff!

-It cuts in half the percentage that borrowers have to pay each month
-It forgives all loans after 10 years, Not 20
-Low income borrowers may only have to pay as little as $0 per month under this plan.

That's a pretty big deal.

-It also stops interest that leaves borrowers owing more than their initial loan.

This is is really a glimmer of hope that more of our younger generation will continue to get educated. Education has already yielded so many positive benefits politically.

its kind and nice of you to want to provide opportunities to ppl but u have to be able to afford to do that first ! and right now

we have more stuff to afford like integrity and honesty ! in our politicians and less corruption b4 we try giving free educational opportunities to ppl who may or may not want them !

ppl who worked hard for their education and using it GOOD for them i'm sorry they had to get into so much debt because every university is so corrupt !

however ---- and here's the big however smart ppl have to realize a lot of ppl just need a simple life and trying to educate them is folly because you are trying to do it against their will *** BIG EDIT*** (AND ABILITY) and unless u want death camps u can't weed the crop and throw away the undecuable ppl who don't want ur free charity education !

now i'm not saying that the whole student loan thing needs to change its just a lot deepr tthan "loan forgiveness" or socialized universities !

As a soldier u gotta want to ascend the ranks and do the work to learn how to take a part a jeep and put it back together if u want to become in charge of the motorpool, then u gotta do that sum before u get ur jeep badge ! such is life !

i think there is a great disconnect and JIVE from what we are promised as children and what reality is ! because the guys running apple store want to keep the cash flow comin thru them instead of going to building farming communes for the ppl who need some nature time with christ ! ! ! (cheese making is a good one 2 because u don't have the be a fucking genious to make chese, u just gotta be able to remember a process and do it repeatedly for the rest of ur life)
