Cancelling loan debt won't happen(on a large scale), but 2 years of free CC for young people is very doable.

Just say Biden good.

Thats the total cost of what it would take to forgive all student loan debt compared to what it has costed so far to run all those other programs. So moving foward, forging strudent loan debt would cost less than the food stamp program. Food stamps is like 79.22 billion a year.

And that's if we are just like: "are you a college student with debt? Here's 50K!"

This is the Brookings institute. So they showed it in a way to make the expense look the least charitable they could. Probably by including private debt etc.
So this cost means every person in America is given the cost to quit their job and be a full time student at any point they choose?

And what is this loan amount again? Per person

I would assume most would do halftime if they are currently working. Otherwise you would be responsible for debt above 50k if you wanted to take out loans for your living expenses.

Remember when the government spent trillions on 5 wars and we're still not naked... Then cut taxes for the richest and highest earners, then did it again, and again, and again. We still not naked.
Congress only makes 170-200k/year so Pelosi and friends need to make money somehow.

So every person gets 50k, which wouldn’t cover even the academic costs for an undergrad, much less the room/board costs to be a full time student

So the poor get fucked, because the don’t spend the assistance when it’s not enough to survive on still. And the generation that already paid their student loans gets fucked

And the current generation of college liberals get the biggest benefit. Yeah man, it sounds great to me

Spend more money than anything else on it

i think its kids trying to weasel their way out of responsibility. They want their 'higher' education paid for so they can live prosperous lives, it must be so hard paying back the loans.

try being a nothing and working your way through life first, years upon years of living a Jibartik "dark world" life with the bills pilling up and hard labor the next day that never gets easier, in fact it gets worse with time.

..only you don't have nice clothes or belong to a college so there is no one in upper society that takes pity on you. You should have done better in life and made better choices.

You want your bills forgiven in exchange for knowledge to make more money and have greater network connections, lol.
Some of the CCs have auto repair training. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

How does person A get "fucked" by person B getting a better deal at a later point in history? I would say you got fucked when college debt started replacing low cost college. You see there, a guy the got a better deal than you kicked the ladder out from under them.

Your identifying with the ladder kickers for some reason. There not like you. They got a better deal in college, the economy, and their career prospects. The trend is clearly that it is harder for new grads. Not easier than it used to be -- this of course completely overlooked when accessing the "fairness."

Do the 'poors' get to pelt these shit-heads with rotten tomatoes upon their graduation?
