This is incorrect and case in point about my previous statement of people poisoning the well with their opinion without caring of it's integrity aside from the fact it makes you feel good. Let me get something straight, I support police they do an extremely tough and dangerous job but not in my rural middle class zip code. Them showing up in full battle rattle to antagonize or showing up to standard calls hopped up on propaganda videos of mentally ill people murdering them could be negated by allowing unbiased statistical analysis.

IE; if they show up in a gang infested neighborhood for a domestic disturbance in battle rattle and on edge nobody is surprised, if they show up in my peaceful neighborhood in the same fashion it is simply negligent.

They are literally trained to fear the population and it is a tactic the authorities use to cause division between authority =/= civilian for them to more easily claim moral high ground. Why are you all complaining about what happened? I would imagine scenarios such as these would be a rather common occurence in the utopia you envision; where there are no police and everyone is essentially left to police themselves without oversight.

Well no, it is true. I may have been slightly hyperbolic with my phraseology. I don't think you and I are even disagreeing really. Again, bad police shoots are insanely, insanely uncommon period. Measures to reduce the already-tiny number of them I support, provided those measures don't make the job more dangerous than it already is. Maybe then we can address the other 99.9% of people getting killed by other people.

Tbh, my feeling of police aggression is emotionally tainted, so I think you and me are on the same page if you can agree Police should be more adequately stress tested (They should have a more rigorous internship and some avenues for alternate paths to deter people who can't handle it but cope because they wasted 6 months of their life and have no other plan) and allowing the implementation of un-biased statistics be used (They are for the most part, I was being a bit melodramatic about my comment on police procedure in my area. They are all very involved and good people). There is really no 'solve all' but seeing things like

The kind of ironic thing is, a unified protest against police ROE (not this race division bullshit) would have solved the whole ordeal by putting pressure on people who pursued that career and passively weeding out the manic applicants who think it might be fun to be a cop
