We play on blue, where people train all the time and usually nothing comes of it. Or at most we see a week long suspension of that particular character.

He's been disciplined internally. If the GMs want to give him the standard character suspension for training that's their prerogative and nobody would protest it. Nobody eats a perma ban for an intentional train, and I've never heard of someone being guild kicked for one either (from a relevant guild).

Being kicked out of the guild temporarily, unable to attend raids, and having your name smeared all over the forums for weeks is definitely more of a punishment than most people get from fellow players.

No doubt the train was blatant. I know that he took a lot of heat from our guild especially. Things you and the rest of rnf don't see. It's been brought to GM attention, and I'm sure our officers were considerate when deciding to re-invite him. I'm not sure what else should be expected of us.

And then umbrella goes on to say how the player has been removed from the guild for his actions.
So what has changed to make the behavior acceptable ?
Was there some resolution and concessions made with BDA behind the scenes ?
