He isn't limited to the dating pool of the Mushroom Kingdom clearly some sort of portal technology exists to bring characters back and forth in the Nintendo franchises to facilitate things like Smash Bros. and Mario Kart.

Samus or the Wii fit trainer would treat him better i imagine.
