Nah, there is a flat exp bonus, no hell levels, a big group exp bonus, and everyone is stronger than classic. But its not like it takes no effort.

Phinigel solo exp is abysmal, maybe slightly better than P99. It's a got a big group bonus though so it's really the only way to level. So much that people boxing 2-3 characters will invite randoms just for extra exp.

Ragefire/Lockjaw and the new Agnarr server are much faster exp. It should take as little as 3 days for someone to hit 50.

Is that just someone not sleeping and trying to be the first 50, or is exp actually that fast? What's the expectation for someone playing more casually?

Look forward to seeing all you casual players on Agnarr tomorrow. In a few weeks you probably will be able to instance Nagafen and Vox and CT and Inny and Phinigel at scheduled raid times like normal human beings playing MMOs. Throw away your batphone nerd chains and embrace KronoQuest.

Forgive me, Swish, but I actually think I might get my desktops set up to mess around on Agnarr tomorrow.

Something about starting new and AAs and a couple xpacs that I never got to see much of but that still were old-school is luring me in more than the hideous hybrid of modern-day EQ graphics/mechanics/cash shop with old EQ zones/levels is scaring me away.

I shouldn't even try it, since the things I'm interested in are literally a year away from tomorrow's launch. But... shut up and take my money, I guess.

On this note, Daybreak's website is loading so fucking slowly that it logs me out for "inactivity" before I can manage to navigate to the page where I pay for all access.

Well, they have had optional character moves available over the years I know. My old main from Saryrn was on whatever Saryrn merged with, and then I moved him to Firiona Vie after that.
