I can just imagine this poor little kid eating cold canned beans for her birthday dinner and a soldier digs an old helium cannister and pink shiny kitten 😸 face balloon outa the rubble of a nearby pharmacy. The kid slips in the bloody ice on the way back to her tarp and snow covered shelter and loose her grip on the balloon. It floats up in the darkening sky against a backdrop of smoke and smog pillaring up from rockets and artillery in the distance. It catches the moonlight at altitude above the ruined skyline and it's the most beautiful sight she's seen in a decade. She imagines her soul ascending to the heavens on a ball of light. Soaring away to a warm home and a real kitty cat. One she doesn't have to eat before it itself starves to death. And a missile arcs out of the southwest screaming into the brilliant beam of pink light and her dream dissappears in a flash.

She picks up the rifle of the dead soldier who's blood she slipped on. Checks him for any extra magazines. She finds a canteen and some chocolate powerder stashed in a hidden pocket. She head's back to her shelter with her sweet prize.

One day. One day. She'll have an army of kitty cat people.

And they will all serve her hot cocoa and warm pies.

Never thought I'd see the day where conservatives were anti war and anti establishment and the progressives and liberals were pro war and pro establishment.

Maybe Jib is onto something about parties flipping ect.
