But here’s some fun takeaways: “Regarding Americans’ perception of crime, at least 60% of U.S. adults believe that more crimes are being committed nationally compared to the previous year, but the data tells a different story. Between 1993 and 2019, the rate of violent crime actually fell by 49%, with significant decreases in the rates of robbery (-68%), murder and non-negligent manslaughter (-47%), and aggravated assault (-43%).¹ Incomplete data and political posturing haven’t helped to assuage the general public’s misconceptions about the prevalence of crime in the U.S.³ ” ^ But wait, lol: “It appears that from 2019 to 2020, based on the available data, the murder rate in the U.S. rose by nearly 30%, marking the most significant single-year increase ever recorded.²” - Whoops. Crime is way down and all this talk about it is “political posturing”. Oh except murder, that’s actually way up recently. Oh and property crime too, but that’s purposefully excluded because it probably happens more in the wrong areas the site doesn’t want to look at “Nearly half (46%) of all gun deaths among children and teens involved Black victims — despite only 14% of the U.S. population under the age of 18 being Black in 2021” ^ Lol kinda racist as fuck for a leftist site, isn’t it? Oh because it’s DEATHS it’s ok to use the “despite being [x] part of the population” line? Oh, ok, I have a question: who’s pulling the trigger then? Other black people, or white MAGA-loving trumpers? The site doesn’t want to say (not here anyway). It does later “Overall, the U.S. crime rate has been steadily declining since 1991, reaching its lowest point on record in 2014. In 2020, however, there was a significant spike in violent crime and certain types of property crime.⁸ Most notable was the 28.9% increase in murders — reaching an average of 6.5 per 100,000 people. The number of murders rose by roughly the same amount in cities run by both Republicans and Democrats, but poor and historically disadvantaged communities were more significantly affected” ^ Notice when they use “cities” instead of states, all of sudden the numbers become more even. Shouldn’t have done that, being partisan and all. Still 2020 figures tho, so 3 years ago “Regarding race and ethnicity, only a slight difference was found between Black and white offenders (44.2% compared to 43.6%)” ^ Wow that’s weird, aren’t there a lot more white people in the country but the numbers are even? That’s a whoops on the site’s part to not be racist Anyway, thanks PRogers, I enjoyed your super racist lefty site, any others you want me to peruse, feel free to throw my way

Look at the articles about crazy Dr. Vinay’s disinformation. The guy is regarded as a quack for a reason. I kid you not they nicknamed him Dr. Hitler Zombie. Dr. Vinay Prasad goes full Godwin over COVID-19 public health measures Dr. Vinay Prasad: “Public Health’s (Mis)Truth Problem” Controversial oncologist Dr. Vinay Prasad disavowed by dean, lectures to GSBS Responding to Dr. Vinay Prasad’s “dunking on a 7′ hoop” criticism of SBM Dr. Vinay Prasad echoes a common antivax trope that portrays concern about a deadly disease as irrational fear

Well from Crime Data Explorer a government site violent crime is trending down for New York and Illinois
Illinois.jpg It seems Giuliani does deserve credit for reducing violent crimes but that trend has seemed to typically continue even under the current mayors. New York.jpg I want to note I am not crazy about how Crime Data Explorer gathers it data. It needs more data from more law enforcement agencies. But as already pointed out I probably wouldn't want to have lived in Nevada from 2012 to 2017 with the homicide rate. Nevada 2012 - 2017.jpg

If you don't charge people for crimes, then crime trends downwards
this is like the chinese communist party claiming no one is dying from covid because they stopped counting covid deaths

These low-information reactionary fellas argue "violent crime is worse than ever" in one thread and then "violent crime is less common than any point in history" in another, depending largely on the race or political orientation of the perpetrators.
It is deliberate strategy, not mere hypocrisy.
