maybe california should be removed from state statistics, they are overpaying for literally everything, and their state can't even build a railroad

This is like the biggest L

Like idk how someone can be from California and be like, "oUr GdP iS HiGhEr ThAn" when literally they don't have water and can't figure out 18th century technology.

But for real. I wish we would build an awesome railroad like china did so we can compete with the god awful domestic air travel system that is totally not functioning at this point.

I've had the thought that california is a victim of it's own success. It's always enjoyed economic booms, in the early 1800s it had an agriculture boom, later 1800s the gold rush, then in the early-mid 1900s, cali had the media boom, after that the icing on the cake with the utterly insane silicon valley boom

california's government never had to control their spending because there was always money pouring in, they never had to be good at their jobs because they could buy their way out of any problems, and now they are facing a monster of their own creation, an insatiable maw of bureaucratic spending that evolved out of their hubris and lack of foresight.

It's insane what you can accomplish when you don't have to worry about things like worker's rights, fair pay, environmental impact studies, engineering standards and other annoying business hurdles

that is an advantage for sure

Im certain that there are interests pouring money into screwing up rail travel in the USA. Ford motor company lobbied the crap out of many cities/states to prevent passenger rail in past decades

nowadays im sure that lobby also includes the airlines

We bought that.. while we let our kids go into debt and get hooked on drugs and handed the rest of the economy to the banks.

If we didnt move manufacturing to china, we'd have all of that here. But we sold out. Sold ourselves all out.

And for what? fuckn civil war.

Capable of is a funny clue here. If you stop all the time, you don't reach top speed like ever. And that looks like a lot of stops.

im getting the feeling that egg prices aren't out of control at all, it's just a social media scheme.

people are posting pictures of heavily marked up convenience store eggs in a blue state metropolis where everything is gouged because they are dumb enough to pay it
