Heres what i think you need for a server to hold these 600 players we had at launch:
- Yellow text - Item loot (1 no weapon) - Custom nodrop sets to offset harshness of item loot, similar to halloween set, droppable items being always better. - Coin loot - Hotzones to bottleneck pvp - Bars depleted on death in pvp, no xp loss - XP fastened 25% --- - Custom events periodically with event mobs that require no GM intervention and attracts PVP organically Example off the top of my head: - Mahdi the head Sand Giant, surrounded by his followers: Tough giant for a smallish 50+ raid crew with like 6 giants protecting him in Oasis that you have to solo pull before killing him, leaving time for other pvp crews to get there to try to cockblock. -Ghost of Rogean in Kithicor moaning in a ghoul voice "I hate pvp" and "wheres my lightsaber", surrounded by star wars blue ghosts, things like that I dont care if its not classic, most of the best fun i had in games was modded games. The trick is keeping it balanced. --- If someone makes a server like that ill reinstall everquest | ||
