I never watched game of thrones on tv. I love the books.


I've just seen too many books get slaughtered getting made into a tv show.


Did that one actually turn out ok?

It turned out ok as long as you concede the fact that despite some decent intentions, HBO has already made very clear changes to story details, even in major plot-related situations. I'm only about 5 or 6 episodes in but I've read the novels 4 or 5 times since 1995 and they're probably the best thing ever written by a human being, so there will definitely be some disappointment in the treatment of it.

you wanna talk about tv shows that deviate from the books, watch walking dead or dexter. :[

Dexter would be a million times better if it stuck to the books and Walking Dead would be completely different (not sure if that's good or bad, still reading it and just passed around where the show is.)

as someone that reads the dexter books, i see what u did there /applaud

that being said, i've only read the GRRM books once, and i read the first one quite a while ago. im genuinely curious to see what plot points you feel they fucked up, or how else you think they have deviated from the first book. feel free to PM me if you dont want to post it on the forums.
