Make a 10k word essay on how bad he is and why he's quitting, then cry about imaginary gm favoritism.

Actually I just remembered who I was talking to. You get attacked hella about IRL and game. I can understand that mindset I guess.

But that signature is a bit much.

You don't need to take every forum post or in game action personal like someone just took a shit on your brand new corner sofa. It's a video game, not everyone plays it to grind themselves down to dust. There was a time on live when I had a similar mindset to that of yours, and now thinking back all I can do is giggle and shake my head.

Cheer up.

I do take it personal. You guys attack the staff/GMs that provide/support Red99 like a cancer. No respect and no realization that this is FREE.

Attacking my RL is all Holocaust and its rejects have left. Can't beat us in game go after a man's RL family instead.

I dont handle vent you will have to take that up with the guildleader...TRORISTE.

start enforcing one clearly defined (and easy to find) set of rules, or don't enforce any at all. quit shitting up the server with all of these constantly inconsistent rulings.

I'm too tired to go into fine detail on this. I would say no, though.

This is coming from someone who tried both approaches on VZTZ. I believe I was the only staff member there who actually tried hands-off with PvP rules (for a brief time).

The upside was that I didn't drive myself crazy trying to police every fucking stupid pvp encounter between the assholes in the two top guilds.

Because there were no rules, and it was up to the players to figure all that out and govern eachother.

The downside: as you would expect, griefing skyrocketed. Training replaced PvP. Entire guilds quit the server. Server population dropped.

I really don't think we want this here.

GM intervention may not always be perfect or objective, but I promise those of you who want nothing at all that you'll be begging for GMs to come babysit everyone again after you get trained into the ground anytime you try to go do anything.
Coming from VZTZ GM...

I like Searyx but can anyone take any GM related comment from him seriously anymore? When a term for "fucking up something beyond repair" is coined with the name "Searyx'd", that's when you know it's time to not give suggestions on anything.

To stay a bit on topic and to try to not get very long winded:

Nihilum exploited Naggy and Vox multiple times. We used the strat, 2 week ban.

They continued to exploit said mobs so much so that GM's recognized it and agreed to remove the said dragon loot (still not done yet, but is anyone surprised?).

Fast forward to Fear. We kick Nihilum out first night 11 v 19 or something. Troriste, Emumu, Grey all attempt trains via CT cycle triggers (which we didn't even know about), or regular train attempts that were derailed. No GM action.

The next day we do the same thing now that we know about the cycle. Nihilum whines, GMs appear out of nowhere to enforce stupid things and make up on the fly rules and judgements.

Beowulf gets Fraps'd Eye of Zomm triggering CT solo after "new rules" are made, no action.

Crazycloud gets Fraps'd, suspended. (To be fair, no one should be suspended on Fraps alone. Amelinda accepts Fraps as proof, Sirken doesn't. Good example of GM's who are totally not on the same page about anything and that is just the start of it I'm sure.)

Nihilum vent recordings prove that they are aware that people in guild openly box and possibly use SEQ. Various members are caught insta-plugging due to IP exemptions or other various methods (?). No action.

Skelly/Troriste train mobs around (yes, I know the intent was to train mobs out of the way so your guild could zone in), aggroing almost everything on the West side of zone including temple. Both die, train cuts loose, Xantille takes it back to all of the Nihilum camping out. Xantille suspended.

This is just the tip of the iceberg and the more notable issues. Quite honestly under the current "rules" I am fine with the punishments handed down, but there needs to be some handed down on Nihilum and there currently isn't any except Killjoy boxing suspension or whatever minor reject we denied from Holocaust. This is pretty much factual evidence that is well known and documented by screenshots, chatlogs, etc. with Nihilum, GM's and yet there is still no action.

So whether anyone wants to cry that were just fear mongering or what not, bias here does exist. As I said before this is a Bluebie EQ community, established by Bluebies, and GM'd by bluebies who decided to try to have a place for the niche PVP community to play too (thanks.). The server, as you can expect, turned into a Red vs Blue mentality, and you'd be a fool to think that the pure Bluebie staff could just turn off their bias like a lightswitch when it comes to judgement calls and rules. You wouldn't take a middle school English teacher and promote him to a college Physics professor just because he has a good track record for teaching English. Why does that same logic apply here? Blue does not equal Red in any state of reality and never will. Stop trying to make it that way.

Remove the rules for player interaction, or continue to staff the server into the ground.
