Otherwise you might as well just call them necro food and have done with it.

this is super super lame that they do not. People will tell me to stop crying, go to blue, whatever. But truth is at lower levels you need guards so that a lvl 5 won't keep ganking you as a level 2.

That's the whole point of red. Either find a way to survive or go back to carebear land. Blue didn't hold your hand when you started out. Why should Red?

It's true. I was carebear back then. I only learned how to survive on the PvP front in other MMO's, namely Knight Online (the PvP there is pretty damn good for a free-to-play).

I may be a scrub in Everquest PvP, but I know better than to complain when things don't go my way. When you roll fresh on a PvP server, you're going to die, and die a lot. And if you don't expect to, you're either ignorant or insane. Either suck it up and learn from it, or go find your blanket and watch Sesame Street.

As the game stands, you cannot safely use platinum to buy or sell to a stranger. They can just jump you and take it anywhere. So it is a barter economy. That isn't even fun, let alone not classic.

The least safe spot in the game is your starting town. Once people are higher level, the least safe spot will be the area around the banks. You might think you're hardcore now when it means you shrug off your 10 silver loss and keep truckin, but wait til you get set back 2 hours of xp and all your plat right in front of your GM or banker.

Adding greater degrees of arbitrary difficulty does not make the game better.
