My first reaction to them crying about hoops was... "That's not classic, hoops were only ever nerfed on red servers."

After thinking about it for a few seconds I realized that the hoop nerf would hilariously nerf their ability to kill anything with the low numbers they typically front.

So I kept my mouth shut! and it looks like that was a wonderful idea.

The first instance of an Ivandyr's Hoop being used that I saw was from one of Daltheb's videos. The main use of them was to keep people alive if the fight went on too long, and members and apps alike were told to try and have one in conjuction with high resist gear.

Once the campaign of "NERF HOOPS" and "NO HOOPS NO LOOT" started, blatant overuse became the norm because it was a guaranteed win. I can't remember which video but one of Daltheb's videos has a bunch of people saying, "yeah these need to be nerfed" as they click-killed a mob.

They did get nerfed because they were somewhat ridiculous, but anyone that was relying on them was doing themselves a disservice.

A large guild that fields a lot of people on raid targets is pretty classic, you have to admit.

I always wondered what satisfaction people got out of being 159th on the DKP list, tho.
