When I was a kid I pulled off the dick lookin part of a geoduck while clamming.

Oh clamming. Nothing beats pulling them straight out of the water, popping them open with a knife, and eating them as fresh as you can possibly get them. The damn things never made it back home for dinner, ever.

That's their foot I believe. It's size allows them to dig in the sand/silt at an amazing rate. I've been clamming because I grew up on the ocean, but never for these guys.

They're a pain in the ass. We used to look for them at low tide on the water line. Little holes in the sand where water would pop up. Had to dig fast for them or they'd be gone.

And birds...birds are pretty to look at but i'd like them to stay away from me, tbh
