Here's Loly posting a screenshot of IB's private forums. If TR ever has any problems with their website, Loly is obviously suspect number one.

In vanguard one of the top guilds members wrote a real nice parser for the game that actually uploaded all your logs to his server so he could work out how the end mob encounters worked in APW... its amazing how serious people are about these games.. hehe

People are given information on competing guilds all the time, by disgruntled members, by those in the guild seeking to cause drama, whatever it may be.

Just because TR had access to your private forums doesn't mean they hacked you, which was what Aedill was trying to link in his initial post (yeah, bold TR's name, go out of the way to link them to the incident and claim it's a history). My point was that Loly, etc. had access to other guild's private guild forums too so if we follow Aedill's logic, the next time anything suspicious happens to TR, Loly should be the suspect. I'm assuming you can see how ridiculous that line of reasoning is.

So having access to officers sections of websites is illegal? The best part is the "officers" of guilds who build open bridges in secret for a "just in case this shit goes bad, I can jump on another ship",are the ones leaking stuff.

Meaning even I have access to read anything posted in Officer sections of 4 of the top guilds guilds on this server. You won't ever know if I logged in on a officers account. There are legal ways of doing this, and keeping the same "officers" IP address. IE the same program half your members use to have trackers online 24/7 or have numerous people logged in at the same time to claim a spawn before it spawns, or 6 member groups filled with only 3 people or so playing all of them.

People have asked me why I haven't joined guild xyz, or zyx. It's because of the rampant cheating the other guilds (not all) that I have seen from their leaders or officers, and let everything else slide. I get more enjoyment from snitching out cheaters, and having people cry about it 3-4 days later.

I don't condone illegal hacking. I fully support the spy method that is legal.

In this case, someone had access to the account of one of the forum administrators (no, not mine), and used this access to download a copy of the database. So, yes, the forums were compromised. This is not the action of someone who is looking for a little inside information.

Also, the word "hacked" is inappropriate in this case. They already had this individual's password. It was taken from elsewhere. They logged in correctly on their first try. So, beware, folks -- just saying.

The past 7 days have really blown me away. I take the developers advice though and don't associate the forums with the server for anything other than patch updates. Sorry to hear about this though, its nucking futs.
