200 players on green 100 blue 3 people on red off peak hours

Was talking to a friend about the server populations. I get lots of people want a new server but it may or may not happen. What is keeping people from blue to come over to green? Just the grind of the early levels? I personally hate the first 1-20 levels. I know people have sunk a ton of time into their blue toons but that is sunk cost at this point.

Green is just as sunk cost at this point too though. I didn't switch in the beginning and I did end up regretting it eventually. But by that point Green was already in Velious and "winding down" anyways.

May as well wait for the new server at this point. Which I think everyone else is doing too on Blue and Green since the pops are getting dangerously low.

Maybe you guys just have EQ fatigue? I don't understand the doomer attitude, I came back early 2024 and had a blast getting a chanter to 60 and then made a ranger and I'm also having a blast.

I don't know about y'all but I certainly don't miss the days of having 55 people in KC and killing 12 mobs an hour in a full group.

Most people don't want to play dead mmos, it's a self fulfilling prophecy if a game starts spiraling down in pop. Spending a a few months leveling a character on an already dead server that becomes even more irrelevant if/when a new server launches would be a pretty crappy feeling. If you are having fun with that, then great, nobody stopping you lol.

^^^^^ Precisely. I prefer being able to have a casual time these days as opposed to having to poop sock an exp camp. So do many of the people that still play - which is alot. Green Server was up over 600 players consistently this weekend.

If you prefer grouping and live outside the US there's no real point in playing right now.bi haven't played since my guild merged with Seal Team, and I'm just waiting for the new server at this point so I can level in a packed Befallen again

I often see 800+ on weekend evenings.

At 4h30am there's usually 230players no matter what so there's probably ~150 players that are permanently on though.

I wasnt talking about peak hours when there is a quake. And even then 800 is sad

Lets face it the server isnt bringing in new blood but some of the old faces would come back for shit like warders. Or custom content or luclin but I dont see those happening

A lot of people have like 10 years worth of gear and a bunch of friends there, don"t necessarily want to leave this behind but I'm sure most wouldn't oppose a merger.

If you're a soloer blue is probably heaven. As long as EC is populated enough to buy/sell, you're good.
