I don't ever recall trying a currant - if the taste is similar to a raisin, hell yeah. I know they are more healthy in terms of antioxidants, though there isn't really anything "unhealthy" about a raisin either. I love them. Natures candy and all.

Also, almond milk? Fuck yes. I love it.
Currants don't have as much sugar in them. Lower glycemic index and also they don't give you gas. Holiday stuffing, anyone?

And yes, almond milk. I want to take the almond meal and make crackers or be creative and try a replacement for sushi rice~~~ All raw foods is a real interesting diet style.

It's all about moderation I guess. Again, I'm not at a point where I need to worry about the little bit of added natural sugars in a raisin compared to a currant.

Nor am I, I actually just like the flavor more than regular grape raisins. They are definitely still candy and just as cheap to buy in bulk. Big fan.

I take oatmeal, mix with water, and eat raw / cold.

Dont ask me why.
Add nuts & dried fruit and you have muesli. (Though generally muesli is soaked over night in the fridge. It's great stuff!)

I like how this thread went from "QQ RAID STUFF" to healthy eating tips. Good show P99 community. Let us derail more fail RNF threads in this way in the future.

I use the whole oats with water; protein powder + yogurt sounds interesting though.
use greek yogurt. if you do any type of strength training (and everyone should for regular health :P ) then you need the protein. greek yogurt has more protein than regular yogurt...by far. and the plain is 0 fat and low sugar.

tastes a lot like sour cream. excellent substitute for that.

but it's really delicious. i don't heat it up - i just eat it cold like that. that's my favorite snack ever.

and it doesn't taste like cardboard. if you have a high quality protein powder then it tastes like whatever your protein powder tastes like, there's a little bit of sourness from the yogurt but the oats add texture.

it's actually very delicious.

You don't have to eat cardboard to "look good". If you were doing it for health reasons, I might understand that. But to lose weight? I'd rather adjust my physical activity appropriately than have to resort to eating a mixture of plain yogurt, protein powder and steel cut oats.

Creating a caloric deficit isn't that difficult without having to sacrifice food that has flavor.
And that snack is good healthy eating. it has nothing to do with weight loss lol.

resort? snort.
