could sit here and cite issues and page numbers where Batman while masquerading as Bruce doesn't respond to, or responds shockedly when somebody calls him "Bruce", or the villan who manipulates dreams? Batman knows he's being fucked with if somebody inside his head calls him "Bruce" or...

Batman's real power comes from the strength of private enterprise and small government. While the Gotham police screw around trying to catch bad guys, Batman is able to effectively allocate resources to kick ass.
