I would call Alexander Volkanovski almost a perfect fighter…he is considered the 2nd best P4P male fighter in the world behind I think Islam

If you can get caught with a head kick, you can be KO’d. Leon Edwards showed us that vs Usman. And Yair landed a few head kicks here. Dangerous, IMO. Being tired is an explanation but not a good enough excuse. Eventually one of those head kicks is going to KO you

I definitely wanna see volk/islam 2 and also oliveria/islam 2 but I dunno which is gonna happen first. Charles smashed benny in that last fight, even on his back he was never in trouble. Islam almost lost to volk, and with charles he only submitted him after severely rocking him with a huge punch. Could easily go the other way in a rematch.

I missed this BANGER of a fight from March

Props to my boy Gaethje from AZ for being willing to be a gatekeeper on an incredibly high risk low reward fight vs an up and comer

I dunno who Rafael Fiziev is, but the dude is indeed fast as fuck with his strikes. He at times outclassed Gaethje on strikes but couldn’t figure out a way to deal with Gaethje’s jab in the 3rd round

Yeah that was an awesome fight. iirc Fiziev was the favorite to win, Gaethje played it smart though he wasn't throwing constant huge bombs like he's known to do, and you could tell by the end Fiziev was gassed. Can only throw with that much speed for so long.

Very pumped for Gaethje\Porier 2 coming up.. their first fight was a total war and really close. They can both take insane amounts of damage and keep fighting, don't think I've ever seen them get straight KO'ed, only messy TKO's.

I wish I could remember the name of the fighter I saw in a very old UFC match. Dude has a handlebar mustache and his fighting style according to his stat card was "repeated punches to the face". And sure enough that's exactly what he did, and he won. That guy was my hero.

Yeah I hope to god none of those fights fall through before oct. Even the khamzat fight which will probably be totally one sided but it's still just fun to watch him and hope his opponent can pull it off somehow. Gilbert showed that he's human at least, ya never know.
