I'm looking for someone to join me.
Quote:
Perry nods and says:
“I see. Well, in that case, you might want to look around the tavern and see if anyone catches your eye. There are always some adventurers or travelers passing through here, looking for work or adventure. Maybe you can find someone who shares your interest in the forest and is willing to join you.”
He scans the tavern and points out a few people who might be potential candidates. He says:
“There’s a dwarf over there, sitting by the fireplace. He’s a fighter, by the looks of him. He has a big axe and a chainmail armor. He’s been here for a few days, drinking and telling stories. He says he’s looking for a challenge or a treasure. He might be interested in joining you, if you can pay him well or promise him some loot.”
“There’s also an elf over there, sitting by the window. She’s a ranger, by the looks of her. She has a bow and a quiver of arrows. She’s been here for a few hours, reading and writing. She says she’s looking for information or clues. She might be interested in joining you, if you can share some knowledge or secrets with her.”
“And then there’s a human over there, sitting at the bar. He’s a rogue, by the looks of him. He has a dagger and a cloak. He’s been here for a few minutes, watching and listening. He says he’s looking for trouble or fun. He might be interested in joining you, if you can offer him some excitement or mischief.”
Perry finishes his list and says:
“So, there you have it. Some of the people who might be willing to join you on your quest. Do any of them interest you?”

let's ask all three, i buy a round of drinks for the tavern and loudly proclaim "who wants to go on a adventure!"
Quote:
You decide to ask all three of them, hoping to increase your chances of finding a suitable companion. You buy a round of drinks for the tavern and loudly proclaim:
“Who wants to go on an adventure?”
Your announcement draws the attention of everyone in the tavern, including the dwarf, the elf, and the human. They all look at you with curiosity and interest. They each get up from their seats and approach you. They introduce themselves as:
“Grimnir, son of Tharim, a warrior of the Iron Hills. I seek glory and gold in battle and exploration. What kind of adventure do you offer?”
“Lila, daughter of Elora, a scout of the Silverwood. I seek wisdom and wonder in nature and magic. What kind of adventure do you offer?”
“Jack, son of no one, a thief of the streets. I seek thrill and fun in risk and reward. What kind of adventure do you offer?”
They each wait for your answer, eager to hear more about your quest.

I offer an adventure in the Silverwood Forest, where strange sightings have been reported.
Quote:
You tell them that you offer an adventure in the Silverwood Forest, where strange sightings have been reported. You explain that you want to investigate the source of the lights and shadows that some people have seen at night, and find out if they are related to the ghost of the old witch or something else.
Your answer elicits different reactions from the three potential companions. They say:
“The Silverwood Forest? That sounds dangerous and exciting. I’ve always wanted to explore that place, but I never had the chance. Maybe we’ll find some hidden treasures or ancient secrets there. Count me in.”
“The Silverwood Forest? That sounds intriguing and mysterious. I’ve always loved that place, but I never understood it fully. Maybe we’ll find some magical creatures or phenomena there. Count me in.”
“The Silverwood Forest? That sounds boring and tedious. I’ve always avoided that place, but I never cared for it much. Maybe we’ll find some trouble or danger there. Count me out.”
They each make their decision, leaving you with two possible companions: Grimnir the dwarf and Lila the elf. They both seem eager to join you on your quest, but they also seem very different from each other. You wonder how well they will get along with each other and with you.
You have to choose one of them to join you on your adventure. Who do you choose?

i choose both of them and call the thief a coward
Quote:
You decide to choose both of them and call the thief a coward. You say:
“I choose both of you, Grimnir and Lila. You both seem brave and curious, and I think you’ll make good companions. As for you, Jack, you’re a coward and a fool. You’re missing out on a great adventure.”
Your words anger Jack, who says:
“Who are you calling a coward and a fool? You’re the one who’s going on a fool’s errand. You’ll find nothing but trouble and death in the forest. And you’ll drag these two down with you. You’re the coward and the fool.”
He spits on the floor and turns to leave. He says:
“I don’t need this. I have better things to do than waste my time with you. Good luck with your adventure. You’ll need it.”
He walks out of the tavern, leaving you with Grimnir and Lila. They both look at you with admiration and respect. They say:
“Well done, friend. You showed him who’s boss. He was a jerk anyway. I’m glad we’re not going with him.”
“Well done, friend. You stood up for yourself. He was rude anyway. I’m glad we’re not going with him.”
They both agree to join you on your quest, and say that they are ready to go whenever you are. They ask you where you want to go first.
