Always tip the porter.. What do enchanter buffs do to somebody who is trying to make money through porting? Nobody is porting at such a rate they need more mana to keep up with clients..
But I will say that if the payment as buffs is made clear to the porter, then the porter needs to pay better attention to chat, and his customers But seriously- Clarity for a port.. Ok maybe it pays for the mana consumed but it's not paying for the time. And lets be honest, it doesn't take all that much time to port somebody- BUT they are providing a service no matter the cost to them, and you need to pay them for it.

It's pretty stupid.
Pretending to do things for "tips" and then getting raged out when someone doesn't compensate you is a losers game. When I go to rez people, I do it for free, or I tell a guy I need X amount of money to make the effort if I don't really want to or I hate the guy or something. The "tips" and then "butthurt" is a stupid system. Trying to have their cake and eat it to. They don't wanna say "40pp per port" because they don't want to miss out on the 200pp tips, but they still rage when someone doesn't tip much and try to flex on them, it is pretty despicable and low. My druid on blue is only like level 20 and I don't have a green character. The tone of these conversations is gross though. Can we please get a red 2.0? thanks

Basically if you don't name a price, you can't get mad when you don't get as much as you wanted. Choose to be cool and chill and work for tips, or just name a price and get paid in advanced like a normal business person. Trying to have it both ways clearly just gets you stressed out and loses friends, and makes dial a port look like a buncha fucking idiot losers.

What I was trying to say is that having a "service" for "tips" means you need to take the "bad tips" with the "good tips" and not be a complainy weirdo. The other option is to have a "service" for "a fee" which means you state a price and get paid in advance, and everyone is happy with nothing to whine about. Because I made Gustoo as a helpful character, I usually will rez people for free if I am just farting around in the game (that was not dead yet) or accept money for the longer trickier work. But I never went into a job expecting a "tip" for an unspecified amount of money while gearing up my angst to be dumped on the "bad tipper" because that would be stupid. Ya new red would be nice, you're right on that point.
