Wow, it's cool to see some familiar names. Laiokin, I think we used to hang out and run dungeons like Lower Guk everyday. Great times! Rinen, you were quite the enigma. How could I forget ya. In another lifetime I was Talgurin / Bertox (65 war), who I started playing in 1999. I remember I was in DOA and would raid with them around Velious / Luclin era. There was also a guild Crimson Horde, I remember I was like second-in-charge of that guild for a while before everyone went separate ways. I quit sometime after PoP, but came back for a while in time for Omens of War, which I really enjoyed (awesome zones), but then left for good after scrawny gnolls started dropping better gear than the stuff I used to raid for :-)

As an epilogue, I did come back to live with new characters, including Crell (75 ranger) on Bertox. I started 3 boxing with mercenaries and was surprised how EQ Live, despite its problems, is still supremely better than WoW / EQ 2.
However, I never participated much on the server at that point... All of the best memories were guild politics and friends versus single player EQ. | ||
